About ODOL

AI systems generate vast amounts of data from user inputs. Who owns that content? How can users ensure their data isn't misused? ODOL addresses these challenges by providing a structured, verifiable, and transparent framework for AI-generated content.

Our Mission

Our mission is to protect user rights in the AI era by establishing clear, enforceable guidelines that empower users with data ownership while fostering responsible AI development.

The Science Behind ODOL

ODOL uses cosine similarity scoring and context-aware language models (Sentence-BERT) to distinguish user-generated content from public-domain knowledge. Independent audits, conducted under ISO/IEC 27001 and IEEE P7003 standards, guarantee data security.

License Overview

ODOL is a legal framework designed to govern the use of AI-generated content. It establishes protocols for content ownership, audit procedures, and global compliance.

Compliance & Certification

ODOL mandates annual independent audits under ISO/IEC 27552 standards. Providers must submit reports to confirm compliance with data ownership and privacy rules.

Providers can apply for an ODOL certification by passing a third-party compliance audit. Certified entities will be listed in the public ODOL registry.

Violations are categorized as Minor, Moderate, or Critical. Repeated violations lead to certification suspension and public disclosure.

Community & Governance

The ODOL Data Rights Council (ODRC) may be formed in the future to oversee compliance and resolve disputes. Until then, providers are responsible for self-regulating their adherence to the license.

We invite researchers, developers, and legal experts to contribute to ODOL's growth by joining our open-source initiative.

We prioritize data ownership and transparency. No tracking, no analytics, no hidden data collection. Your privacy is fully respected.
